Jade
Gates is
a photographer, artist and teacher. She is certified by the
Adobe Corporation
as an ACE expert in Adobe Photoshop CS and was also a creative
uses consultant for the Polaroid Corporation. Her distinctive
and award winning images have appeared in a wide variety of
publications including Time, Newsweek, Wine Spectator, and
Polaroid’s Test
Magazine, and on the covers of videos, CDs, books, magazines
and brochures. Jade has exhibited and taught in galleries,
museums, and colleges from Switzerland to California. She taught
seminars and workshops
for the Ringling School of
Art & Design for more than a decade. Her commissions include The John & Mable
Ringling Museum of Art, and The J. Paul Getty Foundation. With a background
in both art and photography, she specializes in several enhancement techniques,
including color tinting, photo restoration, and a non-toxic approach to oil
painting.

Jewelry photography:
In order to apply to juried fine art shows, we needed professional photos of
our dichroic glass jewelry. This was not an easy task since the jewelry is
highly reflective. Jade Gates accomplished the impossible and provided us with

Your painting captured the essence of the cottage and we are delighted with
it. It's hard for me to put into words how appreciative I am that you took
my plain photograph of the cottage and brought it to life. The painting hangs
